I copied and pasted her entire post from the "New to Lyme?" thread to here so that she could get more views:

"Has anyone had a positive Ispot lyme test? My son did with positive western blot bands of IgG 41 and IgM 18 34 41 and 66. He's having terrible neuro problems and has been accepted into Columbia University's Lyme Research."

Welcome to our forum! I'm assuming that you read through the "New to Lyme?" thread that you originally posted in - if you did, please do as it's packed full of information and tips!!!


I believe that Columbia University's Lyme Research is a good place from what I've read.

I'm glad that your son has such an solid response to the testing! He should have no trouble getting the treatments he needs.

From what I've read (& can understand) about the Ispot for Lyme, it's a fairly decent test - detecting more people that are infected than either the ELISA or Western Blot.

Welcome, Jennifergreen,

I just wanted to say hello and good luck with your son's treatment.  There is a lot of good information on this site.  If you have further questions you can go up the the 'Google custom search' bar and type in, ie; fatigue Lyme.  Always enter the word Lyme so you are hooked up to the answers pertinent to this disease.

What kind of neuro issues is he having?
Sorry I'm not able to answer your question. I don't know much about how the testing all works. I believe mine was the Western Blot.
