Leg Numbness

I am on month 4 of treatment (4 weeks after suspected bite and 2 weeks after bulls eye rash appeared) for lyme, Bart and Babs (Elisa and Western Blot positive 5 bands IGG and IGM positive). The last 2 months on IV rocephin, minocycline, doxy, flagyl, Zithro, plaquenil, malarone, nystatin. 3 days into banderol samento, artemisinin, lactoferrin, B3. Starting daraprim, septra and rifampin in another week.

Thanks to many on this site (and moderators) I found an LLMD, got very aggressive and I am feeling better.

Here is my question: I continue to have foot and leg numbness/tingling and sometimes in my forearms and fingers. I used to think this was Herxing but it was always accompanied by increased heart rate, brain fog, severe fatigue etc...but now I am otherwise energetic, clear thinking and feeling fine but for the jarring limb numbness. I am trying to get in to see a neurologist ASAP.

Does anyone have similar experience? Thought?

I would agree with what Lymerunner is saying. It could be part of a herx, although since you have said "continue to have..." I would think that it's more likely symptoms of Neuro Lyme, or Bartonella.

This too should clear up with continued treatment.

This is one of the times where rather than trying to treat the symptom, you need to treat the cause - the infections being in your nervous system.

You can try using heat or ice on the low back for the leg/foot issues, or on the area between the shoulder blades & the back of the neck area for the issues with your arm/hand. This can ease things sometimes for some people.

Detox baths can help for some. The soothing Epsom Salts combined with a warm soak can relax you and your muscles so that it doesn't seem so intense.

Are you having trouble using your arm or leg due to this?

I do hope that the heat/ice option helps!!
