I'm not a doctor, but it could be a reaction to the Amoxicillin. I had mild Bell's Palsy over 1.5 yrs ago, and I didn't have swelling or pain, it was tingling and droopy feeling, and it only effected the side of my face. If I were you, I would call the doc or pharmacy regarding an allergic reaction to rule that out first!
Got this from www.medicinenet.com
"However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.Amoxicillin can commonly cause a mild rash that is usually not serious. However, you may not be able to tell it apart from a rare rash that could be a sign of a severe allergic reaction."
I'll say a prayer for you Canyon, good luck! Keep us posted.
