Breakspear - Test Results?

Hey I have finally managed to get down to the Breakspear clinic and have some tests done. One of them came back today and I was very confused.

I have a positive for antinuclear antibodies (ANA) of 1:80 nucleolar pattern, is this bad or normal for lyme sufferers?
Also I had Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies or 42. 8 which was highlighted in red and so were my ALBUMN and GLOBULIN in the biochemistry which were abnormal I think.

Obviously I don't expect anyone to have any answers for me but any help would be great.

Hi SwashPro,

I believe ANA is an indicator of what normals doctors call auto-immune disease. But it can also be an indictor of infection in the body. I have heard a lot of folks on here having ANA come back positive but after treatment ANA resolving.

As far as the thyroid antibodies - I think a lot on here can tell you that thyroid issues are common with lyme and considering it is an important glad and can throw off a lot of things in the body.

How are you doing in treatment?

Ok opugirl, thanks for the info. I am currently off treatment and am awaiting my lyme and Bartonella results from Breakspear. I have had these tests before with a different doctor and they came back positive so I think they will again.

Hopefully they will be back soon so I can start treatment, I have been ill 4 years and have never received aggressive enough treatment, which in my opinion has made me much worse.

I am desperately hoping they put me on IV antibiotics asap.
