wow~ all great responses!
I have no clue why he put me on such a diet. I tried to ask questions and he looked at me like I was nuts! It was like because I said so and that should be enough. I'm not happy with this llmd.
Also wanted me to go back on the doxi. (I'd been on it for a year and leveled off so my reg. dr. put me on minox.) did well through the summer with it.
Started following this diet to the T! It sucked and then back a month later with peptic ulcer, he wanted to put me on another drug for that and get on the doxi. (I'd tried it for 2 weeks and the leaky gut came on strong!) So I went back to my minox.
Still having issues, and took out the chlorophyll, silver, tinsel. No leaky gut!!
Still some issues however so I ate the Wheaties I'm not supposed to with Raw milk which I'm not supposed to. better... trying to stay close to the diet only doing once a week.
Now .... still some issues so I ate a sandwich! YES bread!! Stomach issues relieved. the milk back helped, the wheaties back helped (I'd had issues bf an this and green beans for dinner did the trick)
I'm still laying low on the sugar... I know eating more then 3
cookies bothers me so i don't.
My acupuncturist also said bc sugar feeds the LYME but I'm not finding ANY studies to confirm it.
I really believe from most posts i'm seeing, it's these diets are to try to get the body in it's best healthiest condition.
It was making things hurt that never did! My entire intentional tract was back off track. After a few years of experimenting with different foods I'd gotten it under control and this totally messed me up again.
Rice turns into sugar... to answer one question... even brown rice.. not as bad as white but still will throw a diabetic into high sugar.
So I think it's all as a preventative measure...
I had no issues with most things after adding a few things like wheat for breakfast & milk with meals.
I do the balance meals (before this diet) meat, veggies, and starch.... never have issues until this.
Part is taking out processed food I get that with all the chemicals they add... but I was hoping someone knew of a study that could show why these are bad for ALL LYME patients.
I love the answers I got.
thanks for trying to help.
