Hi there, I have recently joined this forum. We live in Alberta but more than willing to travel to see a LLMD for my son. I am at wits ends here! Please let me know of any success and who I should contact. My email

First of all, welcome to the forum. You'll learn a lot here and get the support you need. I'm sorry to hear your son has Lyme. My daughter does too, so I know how hard it is to see them go through the battle. Hopefully someone here will have a doctor to recommend. I wish you the best in getting your son better.

Read through the "New to Lyme?...start here" thread at the top of the page so you can learn about detoxing and the various healing modalities, etc.

Thank you Garden Peace and yes I have been busy reading!
My son has not been diagnosed yet...it is impossible here in Canada to find a doctor that will even listen...he has been down a long 4.5 year road of surgeries, tests & drugs all to no avail. He has so many of the markers of Lyme and we actually met with his family doctor today to discuss testing but she is very dismissive and suggested that he just "work on getting himself better!" Grrrrrrrrrrr
I really need to find a doc in Montana (closest US state) and road trip for his health.

Do you not wish to use alternative medicine? I do have one more that I've located in Bozeman, but they are an Integrative Medicine doctor.

Check out all of the options. Know that herbs can be as effective as antibiotics. Because of where you live, and how hard it is to find a doctor that's still willing to treat up there, I would suggest that you choose your medicine and the protocol by choosing a doctor and doing whatever they use - or at least consider it. I'll send you the information on the other doc in the US if you are still interested after checking out the one that's near you if you are still interested.

Hi PJ in Canada. I am also in Alberta and am hopeful to start treatment for Lyme. I have done quite a bit of research and there is a LLND in Calgary who can also prescribe meds as well. I have had a consult with their clinic and have heard good things about it. Also, you can still get testing done in the states and get treatment in Calgary.
