Hi there
I usually spend most of my time on Fibro forums, but it was suggested I try here to see if there is anyone in same predicament as me.
Im in UK and dont think awareness of Lyme is as prevelant as in US...However I do live in a foresty area.
Most of my symptoms represent Lyme or Fibro or CFS and at moment I am trying to find a correct diagnosis..Does anyone know of any good doctors or what route I need to go down in UK on NHS?

Symptoms over past year:
Fatigue
Pain muscle and joint
Anxiety
IBS
Sleep probs
Twitching /Buzzing / jerking
Vision problems
Swollen glands
Throat aches
Dizziness
Eye floaters
Heart palpitations and racing heart
Tremor

Ive had MS ruled out and my MRI scan showed no lesions. Could this be Lyme?

Lyme and coinfections share many of these symptoms (but so do alot of diseases). Whether or not it is Lyme, its more important for you to realize your body is definitely fighting some kind of infection and that you get to the bottom of this with an experienced doctor.

Do you recall being bitten by any kind of insect and did you ever develop a rash?

ive been bitten by many insects in past - mainly mosquitoes, always had an itchy rash from these, but never knowingly had the bullseye rash...but I know some people can still have Lyme as the rash could have been somewhere non visible
Will mention it to my doctor - but to be honest I am not holding out much hope as she has already shown her negativity in testing me further.
I was wondering if there was somewhere I could go privately or buy something online to test

It could be Lyme, as vcast said. I hope someone on here can direct you to a Lyme literate doctor, which you need to for a proper diagnoses and to get started on treatments soon. Someone will email you if they know of someone, since we're not allowed to post doctor's names on here.

I live in a part of the US where it's not widely known. We have rainy winters like you do and that can make symptoms worse when we don't see the sun for weeks.

Lyme can be transmitted by mosquitoes apparently.

While I highly recommend a LLMD, even a basic infectious disease MD might be able to help at this stage. Definitely go over these symptoms with a doctor immediately (until they find out whats wrong or you get better).

And possibly fleas, bedbugs, and others. I've wondered if chiggers do too.

I live in Ireland which isn't much good to you but I spoke to 4 doctors & I found that 1 of them had any knowledge of Lyme but if it was long term he wasn't hopeful. The others, 2 dismissed my idea & the other 1 said he would like to read up on it first.
I was not diagnosed with Lyme but having an MS diagnosis I decided to treat myself after 2 years reading anything about illnesses to eliminate them & I reached the Lyme conclusion. I could say "yes" to more than half the list of Lyme symptoms although I don't remember getting a tick bite.
