Symptoms due to Protomyxzoa Rheumatica - Not Lyme?

Thanks for everyone who have helped me over the last few years. I was wondering if anyone has had success dealing with Protomyxzoa Rheumatica after dealing with Lyme?

I’ve was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 2009 with positive tests and my CD 57 has remained low (18 - 24) before, during and after treatment. This has included may rounds of ANV, IV, Herbal and Hyperthermic treatment in Germany (which is supposed to get rid of Lyme was and for all, but doesn't destroy all infections).

I’ve rarely herxed on anything in the last few years with my symptoms slowing declining. Main symptoms are brain and memory issues, limb weakness, chest pain and numbness.

My Dr is going to put me on an anti parasite protocol. As my CD57 is so low, is there a possibility that this could be the main cause of my issues, particularly as all the other antibiotics haven’t affected my symptoms?

Have people turned things around from treating this instead of Lyme?

Any experiences or ideas are most appreciated.

I've had Lyme and either Babesia or P. Rheumatica. I believe I successfully treated my Lyme the first time and was bitten again a couple years later. I have yet to get over this second bite. I think that Lyme isn't the issue, it's the protozoan. With the proper diet, I can live a somewhat normal life although I won't be what I was.

I'm intrigued with ultraviolet blood irradiation. It would probably take multiple visits depending on your protozoal load. The premise behind UBR is something that sounds like it would work. I know there is a physician in Texas that does it, but that is the only one I've heard of.

Figure out which elimination pathways are obstructed and address those pathways through diet and medications or herbs.

Welcome to our community!! I'm so sorry that you didn't have any positive results with the blood irridiation - I had been hoping that it would prove to be a useful tool.

If you haven't yet, please do read through our "New to Lyme? Start Here!" thread that sits at the top of the forum - even though you are not "new" to Lyme. There is so much information in that thread that it's likely there could be something that you weren't aware of!

Maybe you could tell us a bit more about yourself? How long do you believe you've been infected? What treatments are you currently doing? What treatments have you tried? Are you detoxing? How do you feel you are doing currently?

Ade, I think that the folks here who have treated Protomyxzoa Rheumatica may have done it indirectly as they treated the other infections (unless they were directly aware of it).

In the only interview that Dr. F has done on the subject, he mentioned that tetracyclines were successful in treating Protomyxzoa Rheumatica, yet in blogs and posts of people who are being treated by Dr. F mention that he is using more anti-parasitic medicines as of late.

Mepron, Doxycycine, Quinine, artemisinine, cryptolepis, and a low fat diet are already being used to treat Bartonella, Babesia, Lyme, and other co-infections. These also happen to be effective against Protomyxzoa Rheumatica from what I have read about the subject.

I would like to see more on this topic here. Perhaps those who visit other forums and have more information can chime in on the symptoms and treatment for this infection.

I'm doing well, thank you!!! Still no returning symptoms after being off of Lyme and Bart treatments for 2 years now and no Babs symptoms for a full year now!! WOO HOO!!
