LLMD in Northern Iowa or Southern Minnesota?

I will be moving soon(couple months) from Missoula, Montana, back home to north central Iowa. Does anyone know of a good doctor in that area? Minneapolis and Des Moines are both about 2 hours away and are not off limits. Mankato, MN, or Mason City, IA would be better at about an hour away. I don't want to drive that far, but what can you do? I have probably been spoiled to find a LL Naturopath here in Missoula that I trust at 10 minutes away. Or do any of you do it all over the phone? I like my doctor, but feel I need to actually see them routinely.
I don't think Iowa has Naturopathic Doctors, but I could be wrong. I am thinking somewhere in MN would be better since Lyme is way more common up there and I can probably find an experienced ND. After going to my first ND, I have no desire to go to a "normal" doctor again if I can help it. To actually have someone try to understand the whole picture of my life/health is amazing.

Welcome to the forum, where you'll learn a lot and then some! :) I hope someone can suggest a LLND for you. Naturopaths are great, so I understand you wanting another one. I haven't been to a regular MD for years, but I did go with my mom to her appts. and it's such a contrast to a naturopath, waiting so long just to get in and then only spending 5 or 10 min. once your in. I did that to keep them from putting her on too many drugs. I tried my best to get her to switch to a naturopath, but no luck.

I know that some homeopathic doctors will work over the phone or skype. My dh does that with one. I want to do that with my original homeopath, but I'd have to go to Arizona for the initial appt. and I don't feel up to the trip.

Any way, I hope you'll enjoy your time here. Let us know how things go when you move. Someone should have suggestions for you.

Thanks Traveler. Email sent as well. Think I should be able to find one; I have sent out quite a few emails to local groups and have a handful of contacts now. Now, choosing the right one...

Got the email! Thank you. At least you are seeing some options that are 'doable'. It's truly amazing to me what some of us go through to get to one. When I used a LLMD for that first year - I drove 5 hours each way to see him. Each appt was an all day event!
