Does anyone get feeling like their head is filling with air and it's going to pop? Does is also feel like a tight helmet on the head? Curious!

Yes that is one of the new symptoms I am experiencing not fun at all. I just caught a cold so think that makes it worse.

Yes, I have had this at different times - it comes and goes. Thankfully, it has not occurred for quite a while. I'm sorry you're feeling this. What helped me a bit was to have a hot water bottle on it as I laid down. Something about the warm and the pressure against the pressure? Hang in there.

Cold weather seems to make it happen for me. I found that wearing a knit cap helps a little. Even while indoors. It might be that the knit cap keeps the head warm and this helps with the pressure.

This is constant for me. I feel like there pressure tingling in my forhead, and I always feel a tad bit spacey and dizzy. It almost like a congested feeling in the head. I get it behind my eyes too. It can be subtle sometimes.

This is perhaps the most awful feeling I've ever had. Makes my head feel like it weighs 500 pounds!

Pressure in the head type headache is a babesia symptom.

In the past week I have been experiencing the same thing (head pressure, slight dizziness, spacey feeling, headache behind the eyes...). I do have Babs and just started treating for it...another issue I'm dealing with is lymphatic drainage so the two are colliding :-(

It's a bad feeling for real...but I'm believing that it will pass soon.

Keep your head everyone and thanks for the tip Healing98...I'm going to start wearing a hat again.

Been happening the past week or two here also. Head pressure and weird hot and cold feelings. Pretty uncomfortable and worrying. Hope to go out St. Louis in a bit to see a specialist there, need to save up hundreds of dollars though, maybe even a thousand or two.

Im praying for everyone, screw this crap! We all need to be healed! Hugs
Oh and I watched a video by some ILADS certified naturopath today who was taking about babesia sx and head pressure was a biggie. Then I got on here and saw this thread. I was like, "I know why!". Hugs to all of you.

Does anyone pressure move around from say front of the head to under the scalp. Does anyone ever get a deep a ache a well. Would this be a bart or bab thing?

I have the chronic head pressure... ears popping... sinus pressure (no congestion).... scalp sores that come and go. The head pressure is absolutely awful.



Everyone told me that it was a main symptom of Babs (which it is). But it can ALSO be from Bartonella. After using Minocycline and Rifampin, it has been reduced significantly. My LLMD and I think the remaining symptoms are from Lyme and FL1953. Going to keep treating Bart until the summer to see if there is any improvement.


Do you have chills/night sweats? I don't. And this was what lead me to believe and know that Babesia was not causing my head pressure. I did test positive for it however. The duncani strain.

Yeah the Rifampin was great. The LLMD also put me on antivirals wen my blood work came back high. I suspect it was actually my adult viruses kicking in that was causing some of these headaches and flares.

Oh, yes. I describe it as the top-heavy head- like the weight of my head makes me feel like it will tip me over. I used to get the massive pressure almost every day for hours. It has gotten better with treatment.
