Hey Cocoon (I almost said, "Hey Coconut!" because my brain is scrambled from shoveling snow)! Where do you put the coconut oil? On the eyelids (ie the outside) or directly on the eye?

Yes, my eyes are like sandpaper--no discharge or anything--just dry, dry, dry, and very red. They got worse when the storm pulled through here, dumping a foot of snow.

I'm afraid to use too many of the prednisone drops. Will have to call the eye doc. tomorrow. Fortunately, there's one who's LL, even way out here in the middle of nowhere. I can't drive to Boone until I can get out of the driveway, but I'm hoping she can call things in.

At least I can see fine.

Revive, I don't think my eyes are doing exactly what you're describing, bc I don't have any sharp pains, just a very dry sandpapery feeling.

I guess I'd better hit the Restasis big time.

I actually already put it in my eye; I couldn't stand it anymore. It helped!!

I mean, it wasn't miraculous, but it did help.

My eye symptom are always there regardless. The cold weather is making me get body jerks and terrible feelings of discomfort. I would really like the cold weather to go away lol.

My grandma had a disease that started with a S...I can say it, but can't spell it... that shut down her organs(I'm now convinced Lyme caused all of her diseases). One of her biggest problems was she stopped producing tears, and saliva, and she swore by the eye drops called natural tears. I think they're over the counter, and very mild, so she used them constantly, and said they helped a lot.

My Dr said conjunctivitis(or Lyme eye as he calls it)is common in TB infections, and it's usually the viral one. I only had one instance of it(my daughter), and it hasn't returned, but I was considering using colloidal silver because I've read it can help with that.

I find that wearing sunglasses, always, especially in this bright light reflecting off of snow, helps to lessen redness/dryness/overall symptoms (not necessarily eliminate problem). Hope you feel a bit better soon!

Ohhhh, I used to get so many eye issues! Redness, light sensitivity, conjunctivitis, keratitis... These issues got better with treatment. I hope you start to feel better soon!

Teragram, yeah that's it, and I thought that was the one that was doing it, but I could be mistaken...it was a while ago, and there were many things going on in the end.

Yes that's a good idea Cocoon. I've also heard tea bags, which I keep forgetting to do.
