Not detoxing didn't really "mess you up". but rather put you behind. You're body 'collected' more toxins.
What I would suggest is NOT to stop detoxing actually, but to modify it. Be sure to not use hot water and don't stay in the water more than 15 - 20 minutes. You can also use the foot baths instead of the full body detox baths. This won't 'mobilize' as many toxins, but it will still help.
Are you dry skin brushing and drinking at least 64 ounces of lemon water each day? That will help your body to detox as well. Also be sure that you are having a bm every day. A lot of toxins are carried out of the body that way, and if they are not eliminated, they will be reabsorbed.
If this isn't enough, then it's time to look into using 'binders'. These bind to the toxins, making it easier for the body to usher them out.
