Sparta, NJ... Found tick embedded and red, oval rash. Stupid me, thought I had an allergic reaction to the tick bite!

Southern California (South Orange County) - I didn't spend any time in the wilderness. Went to the beach a lot. it JUST dawned on me that we went to Yosemite about 5 years ago, who knows??

Also spent a few days in RV/Motorhome parks right off the beach. I wonder if dogs/pets could have carried a tick from travelers? Also huge flee infestation the summer of 2012 - right before I became so sick!

Traveler, I think someone has a map out there that allows people to register where they got infected so people can view a map at a glnce to see all the places people with are. I wish I could find the link cause I think it a good idea that I wish more lymies knew about so we could raise people's awareness.

they track dogs with lyme, erhlichia better than people with lyme.

this is NOT the map im trying to find but I find it ironic that this cdc map has more states impacted then the twelve they say have lyme. How stupid can peopl be to think these infections only stay within certain boundaries.

Johnred, there is a Google map of the world where people can report they have lyme so prevalnce can be determined. When, if I find it again I will post. I know it was part of an article but striking out tonight trying to find it

how does it feel when dogs with lyme seem to be prevalent in areas the cdc says there is no lyme. Zoom to usa, how can there be more places that dogs have lyme but not people. ......good grief this is just maddening to see hoe we are ignored.

here is another map but if you look to the right of the map, guess what they claim, they have a product to prevent lyme......where the h e double toothpicks have you been for the last 40 years??

I think I am grumpy tonight, been fighting anxiety all day.....I never use to have this anxiety, it is awful.

The whole of northern Europe has been invaded by Lyme and coinfections.

I got infected in Hesse,central western Germany.

My daughter was infected in Northern California (thank goodness we continued searching for the cause of her illness instead of listening to several doctors that told us that "there is no Lyme in California"!!!!)

I have been bitten several times it Iowa every fall. I am a full time taxidermist, I have had ticks come into my studio from Canada, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona, & Utah.
