I finally got on my treatment, and I keep getting random muscle twitches.. and my jaw has gone numb, and I have really sore cheeks and teeth.. and my right is hurting, along with minor pain in my right knee every hour that only lasts like 20 seconds. feels really weird confused

Random migrating tooth pain and sore cheeks were my only herx really, and this happened when I begun treatment. I even went to my dentist to be sure and he said everything looked great. So its definitely possible its a herx. Stay strong.

Have you done any detoxes? I'm sorry you are in pain, I wish I could say it doesn't come with the territory. I hope your pains are limited and resolves quickly.

=( I started herxing on day three of my treatment. Definitely try detoxing by drinking lots of lemon water and taking the Epson salt baths - but those made me herx even more, but I felt like I was winning bc I was killing them all off!! What treatment are you on may I ask?? I am taking doxy three times a day plus a bunch of nutritional supplements. Good luck, and hang in there!

Its very possible. Herxes are quite the unpredictable thing. I herxed my first two weeks on doxy. Then I went on ceftin and felt really good...until I upped the dose. about two weeks in on ceftin was when I had a really strong herx. I thought I was going crazy, I was drinking more then a gallon of water a day (I only weighed 90 lbs at that point) and was still super thirsty w/taking electrolytes. It dissipated after about 3 days.

You really can never know when to expect one. There are some common times though when symptoms flare like around the full moon. I only got that after treatment started and was on it for a few months.

Why in the world does that happen anyway. Before I even read that I had to do a double take because when I'm sick I always feel worse around a full moon...i remember because im up in the middle of the night going to the bathroom...and its always so bright from the moon. Are we part warewolf. Lol

lol - I know concepts, right? I always thought all that spiritual mumbo jumbo around the moon was ridiculous. Then I learned it does actually control the tides - think about it, ALL of that water and the moons gravity. I imagine it does a lot more to our bodies then we are aware of. I think it effects 'ladies' as well.

I've heard it's a parasite thing so if you tend to flare when there's a Full Moon then you may have parasites or Babesia.
