Denied diagnosis repeatedly in face of CDC standards - presented on paper, printed from CDC site.

Because 'There is no Lyme in Ca.'

Either Stamford, CT (where I used to live) or Martha's Vineyard. I don't know how long I've had it, probably most of my life (and I'm 49).

I think it was Clinton, MT while I was camping. Four days late I had a small bulls eye rash but thought it was a spider bite. I live in WA state.

Either Florida or Long Island. I don't really know how long I've had it. I used to be in Boy Scouts as a kid in ctrl FL. We camped a lot. I rememer one trip where everyone had ticks on them. That was 18 years ago and I only got sick about 8 months ago so that may not be it.. I did take a trip to Long Island about a year ago though..

Ayers Natural Bridge Park just south of Douglas Wyoming.
I went to a wedding there on July 3rd and found the tick attached when I woke up the next morning.

Warner Robins, GA I walked in the woods all the time as a child and had tick bites at least 6-7 times
and pulled the tick off myself. ( of course, this was back in the 1800s when we did not know about Lyme) :)

In Southern California, Los Angeles.

I've been told by my doctor that there aren't lyme infections in Southern CA. But i am very certain, I got it from my cat's bite because I don't hike and I'm in the city away from any vegetations. Or could be at the beach and something in the sand...

Liverette, I recommend going to the West Los Angeles County Vector Control District web site and printing up the information about the multiple sites  where Borrelia burgdorferi positive ticks have been found RECENTLY. You have a cat - does he go outdoors? Cats can get ticks, and bring them in. Mice and squirrels can carry Bb infested ticks right to your green areas. Birds too. There are lots of hosts. There are poeple on this site who mention studies about other vectors/forms of transmission - I have no info on those ways as yet.

Oh yeah, Liverette, if you print the CDC standards for reportability and bring a map of distribution with you you just MIGHT convince a very open minded doc to reconsider. But, don't hold your breath unless you like the blue in the face look.

I will check that out. My cat goes out to our patio that has some grass. And i walk him to on a leash just around our building. What did you mean by blue in yhe face? I sm a foreigner and simetimes I don't understand some expressions..

I should look into the Borrelia symptoms and see what they are. Thanks for the information.

is that you don't want to waste your time on a doc that's not open minded. It would be just like holding your breath for no good reason other than to see yourself turn 'blue in the face'. :-)
