I've had some toes, and some fingers do that over the years. Not as severe as to turn white, and I can't imagine how painful that might be. I"m very sorry. I do have my own thoughts on this, and my own experience. Maybe it might be something to think about.
I''ve had LD for about 13 + yrs, and chronic LD symptoms/stage for the past 6 yrs. One thing I've recently connected the many dots to, at least for me and my symptoms, is how my lymph nodes, especially in my (sides/back) neck and up the back of my head, and along my collar bone, all effect the sensations/tinglings in my arms and down to my fingers. When these areas are gently massaged, I begin to feel my arms and fingers start to tingle. It's as though the lymph nodes are beginning to 'wake up' and release toxins.
I know my Adrenals are shot, as often is the case that many with LD share, as well as my hormones and thus my lymph nodes system. I've been reading that the Lyme spirochettes take residence up in our lymph nodes, and along with the stress we deal with, our lymph nodes system take a real beating, and often begins to stop working. This causes a lot of other issues that are dependent on this system, such as hormones, adrenals, thyroid and such. I am now working on weekly lymph/cranial massage to try to get the system back up and working. It might take weeks or months, but I know that along with my natural protocol having some 'hands on' work will only help move things along. As long as I keep the herxing low, I should see positive results. I've only had one session so far, and plan on taking it steady and slow, working up to one hour weekly sessions, at least for one months worth, and then see how I'm doing.
There are videos on youtube showing how to massage one's lymph nodes. I found them quite informative. Watching and applying the techniques is actually what got me to realize I needed to address this. It's an expense I can't really afford, but I realize I'll need to forgoe other things in order to keep doing what I can to get better. Always a sacrafice, isn't it?
Hope this helps. Just my thoughts. Take care and hang in there. I hope things get taken care of quickly for you and you get the help/abx that you need.
