I did see a lyme specialist when I had the EM rash in 2013, and I was prescribed four weeks of doxy and then told 'the rash is gone, you're cured, seeya', so that made me feel confused. but the doctor also did do a study on PTLDS and their foundation seems to understand that chronic lyme is a thing (without outright saying 'chronic'), so that's always an option.
maryland seems to be one of those major hotspots for lyme disease. I've found several LLMDs but they either have terrible reviews or aren't accepting new patients. I have contacted one doctor who seemed good, and hope to get a response.
I live in timonium, maryland, and most doctors I've found seem to practise around lutherville or towson, which is the most realistic option for me. if anyone has any experience, good or bad, with doctors around here, it would be appreciated if you contacted me. :~) thank you!!!
