What are you going to do when you recover from lyme AND/OR what is something you are looking fwd to?

Learn how to play the guitar

Buy a set of conga drums

Learn how to play them!

GO SHOPPING!!! I WANT CLOTHES, HEELS AND SNEAKERS!

Go to concerts galore!

Join a couple of ministries at my church

Get my MS in Intergrative Medicine and Nutrition

Then become a CNS (and no...I don't mean central nervous system) lol. Certified Nutrition Specialist

open up a natural healing center (affordable aqua chi foot bath therapy, infrared sauna, massage and more)

Travel with my son! Africa, Caribbean, San Diego

Go on a writers retreat!

Stay healed!

Become active in my sorority again

Create my mobile poetry ministry

AND LASTLY...

Pay it forward! I will visit this forum and another to help people get through this dreaded disease!!!

LET'S GO!!!!! TIME FOR SOME HEALING!

It's a nice happy post, but it actually makes me a little sad, because I have said to myself so many times, "Yahoo!!! I'm better! Now I can do things I've always wanted to do!" and then something happened, and I got sick again, and ended up back at square one. It has happened so many times.

That said, I say, with tears in my eyes, that I would like to go hiking, go backpacking, go camping, start running, travel extensively, have an active garden, socialize, save a lot of money, and get a part-time job.

I don't mean to be a downer, but I'm also going to make an appointment with a lawyer to write my will.

I have to be realistic.

I understand, Margaret. I find it difficult to plan for the future.

Something I've always wanted to do is learn Reiki! I just signed up for training this summer. I'm very excited :)

Hope to get my inspiration back and start drawing and painting again!!! Maybe draw some children's books, it has been poking my mind lately.

Buy a house with hubby.

Renovate our old African house we bought a few years ago, so we can go there whenever we want so I can warm my bones.

Mayby baby, but Marie doesn't know yet either

Maybe take up my philosophy studies again, I had to stop cause my memory was getting worse and worse. Maybe via open University.

Travel!!! Toronto to visit some very dear friends, a beach holiday with husband, so many places...

Husband mentionned getting remarried (or renew our vows, maybe in Vegas, why not? Strange that this idea is coming from my husband, since he is as romantic as a floortile (I'm not much better, we fit together well).

Go on weekends with friends

I can go on and on....

First, I want to put more energy into getting my daughter better.

I want to finish a bunch of garden projects I started several years ago, after I do some things to keep the moles out. When we first moved here, I wanted to make a garden that people in wheelchairs could go through, so I could have elderly people or ill people come to enjoy the peace, but the darn moles make that difficult.

A family vacation would be nice too since we haven't done that for a long time.

I'd like to move away from this city in the future, some place smaller and friendlier.

I want to go on long bike rides with my hubby again and go on hikes

I want to learn how to use all a digital SLR camera is capable of doing, so I can photograph wildlife again or get my old SLR fixed.

I want to learn to quilt and get back to spinning again and maybe learn to use a floor loom.

I want a dog again...maybe a border collie if my energy is good and possibly use one for therapy.

To help people with Lyme disease.

Get that family picture taken that our young daughter wants, when I don't look so tired.

Dye my hair blond and have some plastic surgery done to give me some of my youth back that I've lost faster due to Lyme...NOT!! The thought does cross my mind on occasion, but it's not me!

Organize this house so there won't be clutter around and get rid of a bunch of stuff! I do some of that now, but it's slow going.

That's about it for now. Nothing exciting, but things I enjoy. Maybe when I have some energy back I'll want to do more active things.

Roxie, you can come visit me, I'm free and 'relatively close' to the beach!

Margaret, your post hurts my heart. I hope you will be able to do all of those things. I also have my will and updating beneficiaries on my to do list.

I am really looking forward to a surprise trip to Vegas I have planned for my boyfriend's birthday in June. I think I am in over my head, I haven't been out much at all lately, but I am hope-hope-hoping I will be able to enjoy myself (or at least muddle through without incident). It is really stressful to think about going away but I really wanted to do this for him.

I have my first appointment with my LLMD at the beginning of May so here's to hoping!

Sounds awesome opugirl. I have really lament ed this past year over how long it has been since I have seen the ocean, heard the waves roll onto the shore.

Own my own home (I rent right now)
Adopt a rescue dog(s), possibly also foster rescue animals too
Volunteer to hold babies in the hospital on a regular basis

I want to just enjoy feeling normal and to be able to take my kids to do whatever it is they ask to go do! YES!!!

My goals are a in stages, Im very sick right now:
I want to shower by myself
Be out of bed more often
Be able to cook for myself
Afford more lymes care, guess that's at the top!
Leave my house, talk to people and drive
And when I get all that done I want to:

Mountain Bike
Write
Be an advocate for Lymes and chronic disease patients
Travel
Trail run
Mountain climb
Sky dive
Fly planes
Go on overnight hikes
Grow all my own food
Learn conflict resolution
Start a few businesses
Learn how to play the banjo
Live life as if I will die tomorrow
Get a real nights sleep
And then never sleep again til Im dead!
