Lymes in Kidney of my dearest dog

Yes he is a small dog and the vet stated today after the lab tests that is is very likely the Lymes settled in his kidneys. If so, he further stated. . .he has no chance to survive. So I turn to you begging for help. . .yes help for an innocent 4 yr old dachshund. Holistically what can I do to help our little boy???He is having an intravenous flush for the next 2 days. . .then antibiotics. . .but I want him to live. . .I desperately beg for guidance and advise to keep him alive. . . .please please he is only 4 years old. .. . .can you help us?

Hi 2manydogs and welcome to the forum. I'm sorry your little guy is going through this at such a young age. Do you have him on a good quality wet food or raw food? Diet is such an important factor in the health of any animal or human. That could give him a boost, but he would need more than just that. Do you have any holistic vets in your area? They'd know what herbs and supplements would be safe for him since dogs can't consume everything people can. I'm sorry I can't help much since I haven't dealt with that I hope someone else on her will have some experience to pass on to you. He's a lucky dog to be with you.

Thank you Garden Peace. My doggies eat raw. . .and have for over 15 yrs. I live in NJ 08804 and no I have not found a holistic vet in my area. I would be greatful for recommended holistic vets. Thank you for your kind offer to help.

Hello 2manydogs. Sorry about your dachsie. I saw an article recently, online, by dogsnaturallymagazine. They gave a whole host of holistic treatments for dogs with lyme. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about your dachshund . I was just talking on the phone to a guy about the biomat, I mention that I just sent in lab work to find out if my dog has Lyme and he told me that animals can also use the biomat. As a matter of fact, they are draw to it because they have a since of what to do when they are sick. So they will go straight too the biomat and lay on it. You might want to check into this. I have just been researching it in the last couple of day.

I found it. The article I saw Is a free download called "the hidden secrets of Lyme disease". Put that, and dogsnaturallymagazine into your search engine and it should come up.

That one is about an hour from you. There are two reviews about owners whose pets were in kidney failure and the dr brought them back to health. I don't live near there though so I don't have a personal recommendation.

I didn't even think of the biomat. That might be good for him. You could email the person at this place to ask about it. https://www.crystalbiomat.com/ I haven't purchased from him, but I may get their smaller mat from him. I like the long warranty. I know others that bought from there.

Now you have some suggestions to give you some hope. Stay in touch and let us know how it goes.

I actually don't have any threads on this. I found that office and then just googled 'reviews' and those came up. It should have all necessary info on their website. Hope that helps!

Yes, Lyme can go into a dog's kidneys. He needs to go on Doxycycline, ASAP!! Doxy has been amazing for my dog Sophie.

She couldn't jump on the bed anymore, and was starting to get aggressive, etc., and all that stopped with the Doxy.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog! I do know of a great holisitic vet. He's on Long Island, which would be a little trek for you, but he is worth it. His name is Dr. Wen. The practice is Hampton Veterinary Hospital in Speonk, NY. And the number is 631-325-1611. I'm also attaching an article from Today.com written about Dr. Wen.

As an edit, I was thinking, since all the tests have already been done, Dr. Wen might be able to do a distance consult with you via phone or email, since you live so far. You may want to ask. Best of luck to you and your sweet doggie!

5 apple seeds ground up in a little coffee bean grinder with about 12 pieces of dry dog food then mix the resulting powdered combo into a few tablespoons of doggie's fav canned dog food. He'll be noticeably better in 24 hours, repeat every other day for a week.

Cured my Chow/Aussie dog Buck that way, he's 12 now and back to cantering a mile now and then with me on my bike.

Cured, dogs aren't supposed to eat apple seeds. They're considered toxic. Perhaps five might be ok though.

I've been feeling some slight symptoms for a while, but after going to the hospital I came back positive for Lyme in 3 bands 41,45,58 my PC put me on dox for 21 but I've been feeling worst!! Could I be on the wrong medication?
