Went to the doctor yesterday and got my husbands results looks like he has Lyme, not CDC positive but more positive than I was. So I guess we both will be getting treatment. I believe it was sexually transmitted, I've had it 15 yrs and he has shown signs (a tremor) only for 5-6 yrs. we were living in south Florida at least 7 yrs before his symptoms started unless more stress drew it out, who really knows. Just be careful not to spread it sexually.

My husband and I were talking about this last night. He hasn't been tested, but has some symptoms, he had the rash and was treated, but admittedly didn't take all of his doxy when 1st diagnosed. I was treated when I had the rash way back when, and did take all of my meds. My symptoms came back with avengance in September 2012, and I didn't get a diagnosis until Nov 2013. We could be passing it back and forth. I know he needs to be tested to make sure we aren't reinfecting eachother! Scray stuff!

The same thing happened with myself and my husband. We don't really know who got it first but we began showing symptoms within months of each other.

Our naturopath tested us and we have the same co-infections too which made him believe that it WAS sexually transmitted and we both just didn't get bit.

But, like MrsPallas said, are we going to constantly be re- infecting each other?

There is a member on here who got Lyme and co's from someone else's tears! My husband and I are very careful to use protection for intimacy but what about saliva when we kiss? Or tears for that matter since I am always crying on his shoulder?

Should we not touch each other until we are both in remission?

It's a disaster!

I think if we are both being treated, the ANX should kill if new ones are coming in but I am not sure. I know it has turned me away here lately knowing maybe I spread it and while he is not on ANX is he giving more back to me.

We are outdoorsy people also, we love to golf, I am a gardener and we clear brush off our property so we can build a house and develop some land. He showed signs in FL awhile back but could have gotten bitten again.

I am like you LearnLyme, it hit me like a freight train and my hubby just started with a tremor and then achiness. But that makes since not to be able to be reinfected with the same spirochete.
