Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for headache relief. This "babesia headache" is brutal. And worse after I take my med. I actually took 3 advil today. I know you can take 4 but that always knocks me out. The advil didn't touch it. cry

Any suggestions?

headaches are caused by dilation of the blood vessels - so taking something like caffeine helps constrict them and lessen the pain. I like to take one xtra strength Tylenol and one Excedrin migraine. Wouldn't hurt to try it. I wouldn't take 2 excedrins bc then you have more of a chance of getting a rebound headache from it.

It might, but some people get a worse headache from it, so proceed with caution.

garden peace is right, just be careful. as for me, my heart can't handle a cup of coffee - which is another reason why I only take one Excedrin tablet (and this was before I had lyme) - I have always been sensitive bc my heartrate has always been fast.

So, this is kinda weird. I don't know if it was coincidence or really helped. I have been craving veggie juice. So I picked up some fresh veggies (well, as fresh as they can be for April in MI. hahaha) and made myself a juice with tom, cucumber, celery, carrots and red pepper. Drank about 8 ounces and realized after about an hour the headaches was gone. It didn't come back until about an hour after I took my "meds" at dinner. I'm only taking the one med once a day this week. It really throws me for a loop. I start twice a day next week and 3 times the week after. (Sorry, a little off track there.)

Do you think the juice could have been helpful?
