New Jersey LLMD & Protocol Help

Hi Everyone-

I'm looking for some suggestions for LLMD's in NJ (Near or close in monmouth/ocean county)... I know Dr. S and Dr. E in Howell, but really need a broader selection. I was just put on IV roceph from my Neuro and I know that I'm suffering SEVERE BART (my main symptoms) and now have 3 red raised bumps on my hand. (classic symptom of bart) My neuro is very much LL..However... he treats accordingly and not aggressive. A protocol also was never mentioned and in all my research...well..my head hurts How does one know WHICH protocol to choose? I mean so far I've heard names like cowden and Buhner... I have the book, "Why can't I get better", but I'm way to brain fogged to comprehend and sit and read.

Can someone in short break down what the difference in all these proto's are? I would be so greatly appreciative.

More so... I need to get to a LLMD and would love names. Please feel free to email any.

Many doctors feel that starting on antibiotics first is the best approach and then add herbs as you progress. The latest thinking is that a "low and slow" approach yields the best long-term results.

The all herbal protocols such as Byron White, Cowden, Buhner and Zhang are great for patients who cannot tolerate the antibiotics or, in the case of Cowden and Buhner, for those who have to self-treat because they are not near a Lyme doctor. Byron White cures have to be ordered by a doctor and the Zhang protocol is based on traditional Chinese medicine, so you need a knowledgeable practitioner. I won't (and probably couldn't!) rattle off the particular herbs as they would just be incomprehensible lists to you at this point. These protocols use combinations of herbs to attack the tick-borne infections and others to support immune function, detoxify, and breakdown biofilms.

The important thing is to find a Lyme Literate Doctor in whom you have confidence and follow the course of treatment they design for you personally.
