I found tick imbedded in my leg. It was there a least 12 hrs. got it out in one piece, I called dr he said wait 2 weeks, NO WAY, I went to urgent care they immediately  put me on 100mg of doxcyckine 2x per day. Im looking for a  DR in Meshoppen PA area as I live close by. Send me e-mail. Very worried

Good idea to follow up ASAP. You may need a stronger and longer dose of doxy at this time. Best of luck!

How long are you supposed to take the Doxy for? Taken right away for about 3 weeks should be sufficient. The Lyme should be in your blood stream right now where the antibiotic can easily kill it off. They often give a 1 time dose of 200mg of Doxy as a preventative. That I definitely wouldn't do. I did that and came down with Lyme anyway. Came down with symptoms 2 months later and 2 years later I'm sill fighting it. You need to take a full treatment for early Lyme to get rid of it. Keep us updated!

jackblack, PLEASE fill me in on your discoveries......how long have you had lyme, and what exactly are you taking right now - doxy and amoxil?? or amoxil and probenecid?? thanks!
