yeah, the IgG and IgM has me confused too, to tell the truth; I mean even with my son's, b/c he was IgG 41 ++ and IgM IND
but he had so many symptoms of lyme (although they did start slowly and increase) and he's doing well, yet some still linger for now.
One thing I read somewhere, and I think even our Dr. mentioned it too, is that with lyme (or tick borne infections) often the rules of IgG and IGM don't apply, b/c it acts differently from other infections. And then also, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it doesn't take that long (like weeks) before it might go to IgG; But I can't remember where I heard that.
I don't know for sure; but those do sound like unusual things for a kid to experience; I mean the numbness and urinary accidents.
I know with my son I only heard his complaints of foot pain or other pains about
once a week at first and then they became more and more.
I like what Dr. C said about
antibiotics helping 97% of the time when he sees these kinds of test results, and I think about
the ID Dr. who saw my son's tests saying to definitely treat. I think they are both saying that if there is a significant band (including 41) and there are some symptoms, then treatment is the way to go, even if lyme can't be pinpointed exactly. And, the ID dr. in IA City knew that our son's test was the IgG 41 positive, not IgM 41 positive.
Sorry if this doesn't really answer your question about
IgG. I do relate to the confusion of the time frame and IgG. But that's a good idea to treat her!
