LLMD for kid in DC Metro area?

I just posted "My 5 years old "Reactive" on 41 IgG - What's next? HELP!", (https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=3074276)

We just got my son's WB test from Quest.
All were non-reactive and/or negative, but 41 IgG which shows "Reactive" and "abnormal". Tests on Bart, Babesia, Erhlichiosis, Rocky Mtn Spotted Fever are all negative as well. No test for Anaplasma.

The practice that we took him said no Lyme nor co-infection (they are supposed to be Lyme-literates), but I know in my heart that I need to take him elsewhere. I mean I had to fight for over 2 and a half years to get my dx, I'm not willing to have my son go through the same thing.

If anyone know LLMD, LLND, or harbalist in Washington DC Metro area (DC & VA & MD) who treat children, please please please email me the info.

hi again RC2013

I just commented on the post of yours that I remember the person who has the llmd in DC that sees children. It's a mom who started a Facebook page about her daughter having lyme, to help spread awareness about lyme.

Anyway, if you "like"/follow her fb page and pm her I bet she'd share the dr. name with you.

The fb page is "Lexi's Lyme Life". Hope you can find something out from her!

@ stacestar thanks for the great info. I "like" her page. The poor little girl has been going through so much. I however don't know how to PM on FB, so send her page to my husband (so he can "like" it too) and he'll PM her hopefully. Either that, I'll figure it out by end of the day.

Another stressful day....worrying about this, waiting to hear from the 2 docs, finding him a LLMD, get acupuncture and do detox.......all have to be done before picking up my son.

I just looked at the Lexi fb page, and noticed there's not an option to message, maybe b/c it's not a person's page, but a page to follow instead. You could ask her for the info in a comment post; asking her to message you the info. Hopefully she would reply; I think she probably would.
I hope you have a good day too! There's a lot to be done! Personally, I think finding the right dr. is (or at least for me was) one of the more stressful parts. Once we found someone good it helped a lot.

@ stacestar...I asked Lexi's mom to email me directly. Hopefully, I'll hear from her this weekend.

@teragram. Funny you asked about Dr.J. One of my husband's offices happens to be right down the blocks from Dr. J., so I asked him walk over there and talked to them directly (the phone was often too busy) yesterday. We are supposed to call to talk to a NP there who treats kids on Monday, and we'll see if they can do any test ahead or they'll be able to fit us in earlier since right now the first available appointment is in June.


The interesting thing is the receptionist kept telling my husband that they didn't take insurance. She kept telling him like 3 times even though each time he said we know and it's fine. I guess they want to make sure that is crystal clear.

Today, after my morning dose of antibiotics, my stomach is going crazy. This round of antibiotics seem to be harsher on my body. When will this be over?

You might still try Dr. J. The staff there isn't known for kindness, but Dr. J. is supposed to be really good.
