i have came so close to ending my own life..
and iam sure iam not alone in them thoughts?

The disease causes brain swelling and causes depression memory problems and even personality changes ie., rage etc. I also had the heart palps which immediately improved with antibiotic.

There is a lot of support for you here. The people here will help you through it. Hang in there.

Hey Jason, hang in there my brother - it gets better, even though it seems impossible right now ... I have been there, exactly as you describe, but we're all in this together .....

If I get completely well before you, I promise to help you out for as long as it takes by ways of support and advice .....

The human body has amazing healing capabilities, and with the right treatment, you ( and everyone else ) can do this ... I swear .... Look at the great people here who have healed and still come back to give support ...

Jason, believe me, I know the feeling

We fight not only for ourselves and our families, but for each other ... Recovery requires an enormous amount of strength and determination, but when we finally get well, we will carry that strength for the rest of our lives ...

Hey Jason, I just re-read all your posts ...... with me, just about everything seems to come from my right side jaw / ear area ...

That area is very very sensitive and many nerves run thru there ... I've had MRIs and X-rays and everything is structurally fine, but the symptoms that come from that spot of debilitating ...

The thing to remember is that ALL of what you are feeling can be explained by inflammation of the nerves in that area ( Vagus nerve, esp a branch called Arnold's nerve ) - these nerves also communicate with digestion, adrenal response, etc

Don't feel as if you have some insurmountable problem in your brain ... that simply IS NOT TRUE ...

Once things are corrected in that area, things will get much better .... it is hard to imagine that something going on in your jaw will effect your emotions and even your desire to live - but that CAN happen, and it can be treated and healed ...

I know this might sound crazy but I read a lot of stories about lyme recoveries to see what has gotten people well and this is something that has helped a few people. In addition to lyme therapy, you might want to look into a Oral Systemic Balance Therapist - especially if you are having so many problems with your jaw. Look it up on the internet. Some of your symptoms may be alleviated when your oral system is brought back into balance in conjunction with your nervous system. Sometimes with this therapy the make you get a specialized mouth appliance or something. You cant just go to any dentist, you have to go to one of these certified professionals.

Jason, you mentioned that pain isn't a big issue ... If you had a brain tumor, your headaches would be debilitating ...

When I was first diagnosed, I was in the ER for heart palps - and also blood pressure that was over 170 ..

When there is inflammation near or on a nerve, esp the Vagus Nerve, it will cause all kinds of terrible symptoms INCLUDING shortness of breath and heart palpitations ...

Shortness of breath is not simple an issue w/ the lungs ... Your brain needs to communicate with you lungs, and does so via the Vagus Nerve - when there is a disruption in the line of communication, strange things will happen ...

If this inflammation was in your knee, you probably would not be experiencing the emotional issues - but because of where the inflammatory process is taking place, it feels as if you going insane - which you are NOT ...

Did you have Chicken Pox as a kid ?? ...

I am sure you are dealing w/ something infectious, and as soon as you find out, you will be on the road back to good health and happiness ...

Long ago, I wondered "WHY ME ?" when all this hit me ... and later on, I realized that it so that I could experience something first hand that I could help others with down the line ..

Jason, you have got to hang in there. It doesn't help that it is full moon - that is when all bacteria and parasites are most active ( until 2 days after full moon ). You live in Ireland where a wonderul world renowned herbalist lives and has spoken about Lyme in an e-mail to me a while ago with herb combinations to deal with this Lyme. Also, alcohol turns into liquid sugar in your body which these bacteria love and feed off of which in turn makes anyone with Lyme feel like Cr--p. So, best not to "feed" those critters with any kind of sugar and/ or yeast. Remember, it is not you, it is the bacteria making you feel the way you do - you WILL have a better day - you just CANNOT give up!! When you feel weak please come to the forum - there are so many here going through so much with this disease and you need the support. You will become a Victor, you just have to seek proper help and ask for help. You should really get a test done from Igenex Lab? Seek a naturopath who deals with Lyme if conventional doc won't help you. HANG IN THERE, PLEASE.

Believe me they do stop, I am no where near better yet but I'm on the start of the road, you must be strong and think positive mate, it's the only way, you will get better in time.
