a mold issue that i need help with

anyone experience coughing or spitting up black mold in their sputum that doesnt happen consistently? any idea what it can be? i do experience shortness of breath or not breathing properly. :(

Suggest getting tested for toxoplasmosis, aspergillus and other fungus...maybe ask your doctor to culture your sputum...

Even if the exposure is one time ( couple of hours) does that harm too ?

Oh rnbelle, Im so so sorry. I have been diagnosed with mold in my lungs and I cough up black stuff daily. It is at random and can be yellow/green or just white. They found it by seeing balls in my lungs on a cat scan-which is something you could ask for but Ive heard that the X-ray is more capable of seeing it. From what I understand, if you had mold around in college you could certainly still be affected by it. It can last a decade. And the symptoms are almost identical to lymes infection. I hope you don't have it, I was devastated when I learned about it in my lungs. I will be sending you well wishes!

Air purifiers (they have to be high quality) and dehumidifiers help me a lot. I don't spit up black stuff, but I have asthma.

I didn't know you could spit up mold.
