I'd suggest then that you print out
www.lymenet.org/BurrGuide200810.pdf to read yourself and make a copy for your doctor, too.
There are lots of herbal protocols that can be done in conjunction with antibiotics.
The biggest concern about
not having an LLMD or LLND to guide you is that ideally, treatment should be customized to the individual patient (e.g., dosing for a 100 lb. female would be significantly different than a 250 lb. man), and an LLMD/LLND would have more experience with how to go about
this and still be giving you effective treatment.
Also, it is common for Lyme/coinfection treatment to cause new symptoms to appear. An LLMD/LLND would have much more experience with figuring out if the new symptom is something new to be investigated, is evidence treatment is not working, or is just part of Lyme/coinfection die-off (herxing).
That said, there are some who have recovered completely with do-it-yourself-at-home herbal protocols. So don't give up - do your own research, and if your doctor is
open-minded, share your research with them also. They may have other experience that can help guide you, plus their experience as your doctor would be helpful in that they know your medical history.
