Lyme in the tendons?

Does anyone know how we treat lyme I'm our tendons? I'm reading that is a spot that it likes to get to and drugs can't get there very easily.

Or do drugs and herbs still get in our tendons?

I have had the occasional tendon ache. I wonder if that could be from the lyme?

Are you off ABX now? Maybe you should slowly taper your ABX and transition to a maintenance protocol. You could do AL complex. I can tell you that I have minimal joint pain. When I took ABX I felt better but never really herxed. Man, with this stuff it has brought out aches and pains everywhere. Which is good because even though I feel worse, I'm finally herxing, so I feel like this stuff is actually doing something.

Hmm. Byron white AL complex then? Okay I will have to try it.

I am now more concerned about the tendons though. The tendons don't seem to be a place where abx can goto easily so I am concerned about them.

My herxes so far has been rib pain. Pain just below my sternum, back pain, pain in large muscles. So maybe it's gettin stuff in muscles and joints. It's odd because originally, I have pretty much zero pain except my throat.

I'm left with insomnia, occasional eye twitch, severe burn in my throat and nose.

Can you list what abx you have been taking? Some abx can cause tendon dammage.

Okay.  I have been taking minocycline, Septra DS, plaquenil, and tinidazole.  I also took rifampin a few months ago as well. 

I didn't take any fluoroquinolones yet.  But I am concerned that Lyme got into the tendons.  Do abx get into the tendons?  Or do I need a fluoroquinolone to get inside the tendons?

Many herbs should be able to penetrate tendons after use for weeks/months. However, I do not know which ones. Essential oils may be a good option for external use that penetrate into the skin and tissue too.

There is still a whole lot for me to learn but I had a cyst and I've been putting frankincense oil on my skin 2/xday for...two weeks now and it has gone from the size of a kidney bean to the size of a pea split in half. Pretty neat stuff.

Plaquenil can cause decrease in tendon reflexes, please take that into account.

I would consider some electronic frequency therapy like rife or photo photon or laser type therapy

Lyme has also affected my tendons after recovering from pnuemonia this spring. Nothing seems to help, not even PEMF, at least so far it hasn't. It's been 3 months, cant open right hand fully and knee is still locked up. If you find something that works, I'd love to know:)

Going to possibly try Rife machine and see if that helps- if i find something, i'll post too.

We are hosts to Borrelia and other bacteria and they will reside where ever they find suitable conditions. We need to make our body unsuitable. Exercise is preferable but if that isn't possible, then stretch every day. Stretching increases the blood flow to tendons and ligaments and that should help decrease bacterial counts. Eating alkaline foods also helps increase the pH of synovial fluids and that helps decrease replication. Deficiencies in magnesium, manganese, and other divalent elements can decrease nutrients into tendons. While some of these elements are believed to increase bacterial growth, it appears they are growing just fine without it. I would intermittently supplement to see if any benefits can be made.

So to sum it up:
Temperature increase makes us less hospitable to these bacteria, that's partly why saunas help.
Exercise or stretching increases blood flow.
Eat alkalizing foods to decrease bacterial replication.
Supplement sparingly (controversial) to allow the body to function properly.
