Anyone in the Boston area interested in joining a real life Lyme support group.

Just wondering if anyone in the Downtown Boston area and beyond would be interested in helping me form a real life support group for Lyme disease warriors. I have use of a nice place where we we could meet, share stories and help one another out. Online support is a wonderful, wonderful thing but real life personal interactions with fellow warriors is priceless. Please let me know if you are interested so I can start thinking about numbers. We can accommodate about 200, I hope you can be one of them. Peace.

I hope you can get enough people to get it going. I go to a great one here. I think we have at least 15 people, but usually more at each meeting and quite a few more if there's a speaker. It's a big city, so it didn't take long to get enough people. One thing the leader did was to put together a library of books on Lyme and that has been helpful to people who can't afford them. Some were probably donated. Good luck!

I am so glad to have got some responses, it really doesn't matter that it is only a handful because like most things we can start small and grow as more people become aware of us.

I am in the process of scheduling the location so I need some input from people who want to be a part of this. What works best for you, a morning, afternoon or evening gathering and how often should we meet? I was thinking once a month to begin with then weekly when we have grown, what do you think? When I know these things I can book the venue and we can get this show on the road. I am really rather excited about all this.
