It's official. I'm on the team.

Dr. called me today. IgeneX came back CDC positive for IgM bands. I have no clue which ones. Just having an answer is enough for me at this point. I have been waiting for 6 years for an answer!!

I probably first became ill more than a decade ago. I have no clue. All I know is it has been worse every year and I wanted a way out or an answer. WELL, I got an answer. PTL!

I have issues reading, headaches, twitches, numb parts, random stabbing, weakness, heart problems, psychological issues, ear/nose pain, swelling, hair loss, arthritis, muscle wasting, weight gain, skin changes, breathing problems, petechiae, memory loss, brain fog, heat/light sensitive, spine swelling, floaters/foggy vision, tingling, and other ridiculous issues! whew!

I am starting this journey today. Wish me luck!

BTW- My CD57 was 220. My Dr. Said, "Oh, you don't have Lyme. Your immune system is in great condition!". Good thing I demanded the WB. We have to fight for our health. It won't be handed to us. I see that now...

Thank you. No, I am not thrilled about this horrendous condition. But I am so happy to finally get an answer to my misery. I keep hearing "you look fine" "your labs look great". And I have been to the point of giving up, literally. This is an answer to my prayers. I just needed to know this was not all in my head.

I needed to know what I was fighting against. Not the invisible monster! And words cannot express how blessed I feel to FINALLY have an answer.

I wouldn't wish this hell on anyone. It's pure misery. But now I see a little light at the end of the tunnel. And that light is called Hope!

I am praying for others to receive a clear answer also. It shouldn't be this difficult!

I had to go back and edit my post. I don't want it to seem like I'm happy about the diagnoses. But... I'm glad to have one.

I'm sure there are members here who can relate to many years of bouncing around the medical world! I started crying on the phone with the Dr. because I have been waiting for that little word "positive" for so many years. I still can't believe he said it. He must think I'm a nut. Oh well! ha

I totally get this will be heck getting through this. I'm willing to do the time! I'm here for the long haul. And I'm praying for others to receive a real answer themselves. God Bless!

I'm sorry you had to get on this team, but I'm glad you got to the root of your problems! I hope you will get the help you need to start getting better.

I am really glad you found an answer! And today was my lucky day as well because I found out that I was positive as well. This whole thing has been pure misery - I think what was the worst of this situation was the condescending BS I had to put up with providers. If i chopped my hand off and held it up to the doc then I would get an appropriate diagnosis because it was right in front of their face!!! And the sad thing about this is I work as an RN in the hospital for the last 15 years!!! Finally validation!!! I don't want the disease but I am so glad to find out that there is finally an answer. :)

Wow I have all the symps you described. My igenex came back cdc negative. Im glad you got definitive answer. Btw my cd57 was 55. I think your dr maybe miss interpreting your result but I could be wrong.

The good news is, you only have Lyme disease - the bad news is, you have Lyme disease.
