Vitamin D - low 25-OH and high 1.25 dihydroxy

Hello,
these are my test results:

Vitamin D3 25-OH 24.8 ng/ml (normal range: 30-100)
Vitamin D3 1.25 dihydroxy 95.1 pg/ml (normal range: 30 - 80)

I am confused - should I continue supplementation with vitamin D?

are you supplementing with D3? or D2?

I have read you should be using D3...and also try and find a sublingual tablet...gets absorbed in your mouth..rather than relying on your digestion.

My Vitamin D was at 32 & Vitamin D3 1.25 dihydroxy 83.5 pg/ml

My Dr has me supplementing D3 2000 IU a day. I use the Pure Encapsulations brand. For the D3 dihydroxyl she has me taking Calcium Citrate twice a day.

I supplement D3, 3000 units a day. It seems that the level of 25-OH is more important.
