What are the various dose regimens for tinidazole.

I'm just curious to know what are the various dosing regimens that you are aware of for tinidazole?

One interesting point about the tind I noticed is that higher concentrations of the drug doesn't necessarily mean more dead bugs! Results were given for 62.5 ug/ml 250 ug/ml and 500 ug/ml. Even the low concentration one killed 90% of spirochetes and cysts! The higher dosing made very little difference. Considering how much more of the tind was present!

I read some German guidelines, and it suggests just 250 to 500 mg daily of tinidazole is adequate. So they suggest lower dosing but should be taken for the whole of treatment. This was the first time I read somewhere you can dose it as low as 250 mg daily!

Other dosing I heard is 500 mg twice daily which appears to be the most common, but it is pulsed. I saw one doctor post 1.5 grams twice daily even!

Cured twice (he really cured his Lyme twice), also used the low dose of 250 mg but he took it every second day! I really think he is on to something.

But I ask my LLDs and they don't think it would work.

Anyways has anyone heard of LDT (low dose tinidazole) therapy for lyme? Just using 250 mg max per day?

What are the various tinidazole doses you have heard about?

Shae there is no doubt that is an issue. But lots of people used this and didn't get cancer as well right?

That also goes to my point, if lower doses can be used that would be much better!!! Less harsh on the body and still kills the spirochetes effectively.
