What are your eye issues with Lyme? Are any of you experiencing after-images followed by nasty migraine headache? How about floaters, blurry vision, white sparks?" This eye activity has been waaaaay too much lately, for me. The after images and floaters galore seem to generally occur when I am on the computer too long - annoying as heck.

I have eye issues as well....blurry vision a few times, tons of floaters, very irritated eyes in the morning, little pains in my eyes, and I used to have pressure in my eyes when bending over, which I don't notice as much now. I did see an ophthalmologist who didn't find anything serious. He prescribed Restasis eye drops but after reading about them, I decided not to try them. I did try several types of eye drops, and even used gel before bed but most of them made my eyes feel worse. Now, I am using Natural Tears Drops which has helped a bit. I don't use it before bed since it makes my eyes feel more irritated in the morning. At one point, my eye issues were my worst symptom, but they don't seem as bad as they used to be.

i have floaters...like little black spots..lines for abou 10 years now.

pain in the eyes...sometimes

blury vision and confusion.

all those problems apears in the daylight, when i get out in the morning.

now i am LAPTOP, and nothing goes wrong..

I also have eye issues, with many floaters and some blurry vision. Was having headaches but those have improved. I get the
occasional migraine but it is with aura only. Lots of other issues also.

I have floaters, migraine auras, blurred vision, problems focussing, grey spots, flashing in the corner of my eyes, pressure on my eyeballs, severe myopia (still don't know if this is Lyme/Bart related).
I sometimes see things coming my way, my reflexes make me dive away, even in public LOL - getting very strange looks
Also cluster headaches (like a hot ice pick poking in one eye).

Due to my severe myopia (-10), I go see my ophtalmologist about once a year. I have more chance to have a detached retina because of the -10. And since I have periods that there is a lot of flashing in the corner of my eyes, I make an urgent appointment, and can most of the time go the same day.
The ophtalmologist says that my eyes are in great condition for someone with such bad sight (the irony...).

I will write the same answer here I posted in another thread earlier on. Can you provide us with proof of your theory about floaters being spirochetes?

It explains what floaters are, how they are formed, etc...
A LOT of healthy people have floaters.
So please don't worry about them being spirochetes.

Thank you everyone!! I think all these eye issues are so difficult to deal with - anything involving the head / eyes is so difficult for me as I love to read and surf the net etc and lately haven't been able to do any of that successfully. I am glad to learn that many of your eye issues have subsided / gone away with continued treatment -yea!! Hopefully, there's hope for me too. God Bless you all!!

I too suffer from after-images, contrast issues, floaters, blurry vision, white sparks, dry eyes, twitching eye lids, and flashers.

I get a lot of twitching that feels like it's on the eyeball itself more than the lid. My eyes, too, like some have mentioned here are often worse in the evening time, but sometimes it happens in the day as well. I will often get blurry vision, usually more in one eye than the other, and very dry eyes. I have a hard time looking up for long periods of time (for instance, going to the movies and sitting close to the front). I get flashes of light and dots in my vision at times. It freaked me out a bit when this all first started happening but I'm more or less used to it now. My eyes are healthy regardless, my colour vision and general eyesight are optimal so I'm not very concerned!

Elip -the twitching you mention - is that like shaking - because my eyes/vision sometimes feel like they are shaking - weirdest thing. What did the eye doc tell you about the flashes you get? Been having those everyday- yes, everyday for the past 3 - 4 yrs. and was told to go to E.R. when I

Ok, hate to be a party pooper, but if you have any eye issues, especially vision deterioration in 1 eye, zig zags, flashes of light, floaters, etc just go to an ophthalmologist for a complete exam. It's more than likely lyme related, but it could be something more serious..

Case in point - I had flashing in the corner of 1 eye. Went to opthamologist who did a quick test and said it was fine. It persisted. So, I persisted. Saw a neuro opthamalogist who diagnosed malignant melanoma on the retina. I had radiation, doing well, but continue to suffer with flashes, bright lights, etc. Also have double vision issues but my ocular oncologist thinks that it is probably a lyme related weak eye muscle, because he did have to stretch that muscle to insert the radioactive plaque that I wore for a week. As you know, Lyme can cause weak muscles!!

Bottom line: any eye issues, have your eyes checked by a professional before passing it off as Lyme. You just never know!!!
