Methylation genomic variants are often the cause of chemical sensitivities.
Molybdenum, a trace mineral needed for the processing of many things (phenolics (read: perfumes, many plant-based foods, pollens, etc.), alcohols/aldehydes, sulfites (car exhaust, etc.), purines, etc.), can help increase one's tolerance to these things (it's helping me...).
Magnesium, Zinc and Vitamin B12 are also very helpful for many with chemical sensitivities.
Also, Glutathione is a major component involved in detoxification of chemicals. Methylation produces glutathione. If methylation is broken, you can't make enough glutathione, thus toxins accumulate in the body and cause sensitivities and illness.
BTW, if you think you don't have methylation issues, think again - if you have Lyme and/or Candida, you may well have methylation issues. Both infections are known to impair methylation.
