I've been tagged on FB to say three happy things every day for five days, so here goes, (not verbatim):

I love living in the mountains.
I have good days, made even better by my knowing that they're good days.
I get good support on my LD forum.

bump - I love this thread Margaret.

I am so ecstatic see my second momma this weekend down in the Carolinas (and I can't wait to tell her I'm expecting!)

The husband and I broke out our kayaks for the first time in 3 years. Been out on the lake twice. Trying to get our arms in shape for baby picking up AND to go out on the bay.

I've accepted the lyme thing the whole shabang. And part of that shabang is I fear little. And pregnancy thus far is a freakin' breeze comparatively. I'm sure most on here would agree with me that one day of labor is a heck of lot easier then what most of us go through. :P

Oh happy day...
And oh my goodness, 80 degree weather with low humidity and a nice breeze......PERFECTION.

I love this thread too!

I have 1 little boy, and yes pregnancy, labor, and delivery are much easier than dealing with Lyme. So nothing to fear :)

My 3 happy thoughts:

I'm well enough to go to my best friend's (of 17 years) bridal shower and bachelorette party this weekend.
I'm blessed with a happy, athletic, and super smart (almost) 2 year old boy, who helps me take my mind off the LD junk.
My entire family, my world, will be together next week in my hometown for the county fair! Ah, small town life! :)
I've been back visiting for a couple weeks, and have had some rough days but I am fortunate to have family that is very supportive and helped me through.
(Okay maybe that's 4 :))

Today is going to be a great - I can feel it!!

I also want to add an overarching happy thought, one i have everyday: When all of my health issues first started, I just knew it was something horrible, and knew I would not likely live to see my son grow up... I cried everyday and prayed constantly. I asked God to give me an answer to let me be here to raise my son. After months of illness, stress, doctors, and tests. Through my own research (and I feel some devine intervention), I found the fibromyalgia forum and read someone's post about testing being inaccurate and to watch Under Our Skin, and days later I found my LLMD.
I'm not healed, but wow! have I come along way!!!

I will beat this. We all will!

And I thank God everyday that I know what we are dealing with! As it seems there are many people who don't.

Awesome posts!!!

Let's see, 3 happy things:
1) I healed from these horrid infections that plagued me for almost my entire life.

2) I have had 3 years without a relapse or reinfection!!!

3)I have a wonderful family that supports me still - especially my own hubby. What a guy he is for having never given up on me and my healing - even when I did!

3 things I am happy for today:

1. I am having a better summer than last year. Even though I am not top speed (or even half speed)...LOL...at least I have been able to go to a friend's cottage, family gatherings, friend get togethers.

2. My hubby massages my feet or my back several times a week - depending where the hurt is that day.

3. My friends have stood by me through all this. I am truly blessed.

Great post by the way!

1. Thankful to be feeling like myself again with the help of my LLMD and ABX.

2. Happy I was able to attend our family reunion that we (me) hold each year, as two years ago I could not.

3. Feeling blessed I can work and that my workplace offers free yoga classes for stress relief.

DAY TWO:

I like that I live near the river.

I love skinny dipping.

I like that I won third place kayaking in the "special needs" category of a canoe race to help raise funds for NC mountain state parks.

GET THIS: Although I have a lot of experience canoeing (in a former life), I had NEVER kayaked. My friend Karen suggested that she could teach me how to kayak that day, but that we wouldn't try to race; we would just be raising money for the parks. We stopped; I got out and went swimming; we ate, etc. When I got to the takeout, I was so tired I went home. That night, my other friend Beth called me to ask why I didn't go to the awards ceremony. It turns out that despite all those odds, I had won third place! And to top it all off, I had a broken toe that day!!

Delmar, I figured out the Lyme thing through a fibro forum too!

I really like this thread. I'm gonna save it for when I'm feeling stressed and read everyone's positive thoughts!

Hmm. It can be so hard to think good things sometimes, especially since I have a lot of lingering anxiety currently, but all the more reason to contribute!

1. Our broken water pipe got fixed AND the yellow water issue I was having is GONE! Meaning I just took my first full detox bath instead of just a foot bath! So nice to have proper running water again!

2. Even though I got really rocked by flare ups a month ago, it's been about four weeks now without a serious attack, and I'm slowly beginning to remember again that I DO have good days! Lately I've even had solid hours of feeling pretty "normal"!

3. Finally heard back from some ND's and I'm very hopeful and excited to start really tackling my health issues. Keeping my head up that good health is just around the corner! I'd say signs point to me being blessed with a strong immune system, so I'm keeping positive that recovery will come naturally to my body once I start giving it the help it needs! :)

I always extend the hope to everyone I meet that recovery is always possible. No matter what you're facing, there is always hope for better days within it. I'm trying to learn to give that same encouragement to myself. :)

Congrats, Margaret!! Even with the broken toe as a bonus!!

Let' see, day 2:
1)I am in treatment for (what I pray is) the remaining health issues I have.

2)I am improving from said health issues!!!! :-)

3)I love where I live!!! In the hills of the Ozarks & it's beautiful here this year!

1) my little boy woke up this morning, I brought him to my bed to cuddle, he tickled my face and said, "love mommy" followed by a hug and a kiss. Man I love him.
2) I haven't seen my husband or my dogs for two weeks, they get here tomorrow -- Can't. Wait. To. See. Them. Sometimes distance is good... Makes you realize what you have!
3) Found LLMD/ND (integrative) on CO who treats children and got my son on the wait list - he is an awesome doc. I love that he calls me back personally and answers all my questions, doesn't rush me, and we're not even his patients (yet).
