Hi. I'm looking for an LLMD in Maryland preferably Baltimore area. I'll travel to dc if needed. Also looking for a primary care doctor that takes insurance and understands/accepts working with an LLMD (if this is possible!)
I have a list of some Llmds. I'm just not sure how to select one or to find out what protocols they use. I would love some feedback from any members. Decision making is not my strength and I think it's worse with the lyme!
I just finished a month of doxy for a recent lyme rash. My recent symptoms have not been too bad except I do have some strange sensitivity of my toes and heel which is new.
I've also had symptoms over the last 2-5 years that may be due to chronic lyme from prior tick bites - one while I was pregnant. I've have had migrating joint and muscle pain, migraines and head pressure, dizziness, brain fog, fatigue and lack of mental Energy.
The neuro and cognitive symptoms were the worst 2 years ago. They recently improved significantly with removal of gluten and dairy and a migraine diet as well as a few supplements. Jmo or to moderate joint pain continues on and off. I have significantly reduced my activity level because every time I would work out it seemed to injure myself again.
This is the first time I ever had a rash or positive test. First Elisa negative but 2nd Eliza 3 weeks later just tested positive. However western blot showed only one band 23 for both igG and igM which I read was a lyme specific band. Could this positive igG band indicate my earlier symptoms were from chronic untreated lyme?
Sorry for so much info in my first post. Maybe I should have broken it up some! I'd appreciate any feedback or support you can provide. I just feel kind of stuck on what to do next - especially since I don't feel so bad right now
