Does a bulls eye rash always mean Lyme?

I had a large bulls eye rash on my leg several years ago but when I called my GP to ask for advice, I was told not to worry about it unless I started showing symptoms. I've always wondered if that advice was correct or if it would be worth requesting testing at this point. Has anyone had experience with this?

Better be safe than sorry. Your GP should have given you prophylactic antibiotics. All my docs said they would when they saw the pic. I had C. Diff., so I only did 14 days.

You need to get tested, stat! You could get symptoms later.

Yes - the bulls eye rash always means that you have Lyme disease. It's the Dermatological (skin) form of the infection - from there it spreads through out the body. I believe the estimates are 30 - 40% of those with Lyme get the bulls eye rash - other get other types of rashes or no rashes at all.
