Hi Misty_blue!
Welcome to our community!! And congratulations on the baby!!!
I am one of the ones you are looking for - LOL!!!
I grew up with Lyme, Bartonella, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and more. The first tick-borne infection that I can identify was RMSF at the age of 7. Then chronic Bartonella symptoms by age 8 and late stage Lyme symptoms by age 9. I first tried antibiotics at age 47, and couldn't tolerate them, so I had to go to herbal treatments.
I am now 2 yrs & 8 months past the end of my Lyme and Bartonella treatments with no active symptoms. I am 1 yr & 8 months past the end of my Babesia treatments with no active symptoms. Although I do have to say that I am in treatment for the damage they left me with - Addison's, hypothyroid, and intestinal food allergies.
If you haven't already, it would be helpful for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of important information, symptom lists (as Lyme rarely occurs by itself), helpful links and pdf's, how to detox when one has these infections, a list of questions that you can ask any doctor that you are seeking treatment from, and so much more.
You need to be sure that you are being treated by a doctor that has been properly educated about
these infections - one that has been educated by ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society). If you aren't yet, then we may be able to help you find one.
For information on finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, you can start a new thread titled something like:"Looking for LLMD/LLND in the _______ area." Although you will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.
You can email Stephanie at:
[email protected] You can also go to:

You can also go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link:
