Suffering from chronic fatigue for quite some time

As the title states, I'm new to this Lyme disease thing. After reading some posts here, I was hoping you folks might have some insight as to what I should be doing to get my health back up.
I was diagnosed early June 2014 by my new NP (previously uninsured), and it really caught me off guard. I went in for a general checkup since I had been suffering from chronic fatigue for quite some time. After she ran a myriad of blood tests, she put me on hormones to try and help regulate some of my other symptoms. A week after that first appt, she calls me to inform me that I had tested positive for EBV. Okay, great. So I'm to wait this out 2-6months before any improvement is seen. about a week after that, I get another call to inform me that I also tested positive for Lyme and a Vit D deficiency.
At this point I have been told to take 5000mg of Vit C, 300mg CoQ10, 5000mg of some other Vit that I can't seem to find anywhere... I am also still taking a prenatal for folic acid. I have read that AB are usual treatments for Lyme, yet my NP seems barely concerned and hasn't Rx any other treatment since. I have an appt next week, but was wondering if there are things I need to specifically ask. I also have a few questions for you all, but I will wait to see some replies before I bombard you with questions. Thanks for your help!

If you haven't already, it would be helpful for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of important information, symptom lists (as Lyme rarely occurs by itself), helpful links and pdf's, how to detox when one has these infections, a list of questions that you can ask any doctor that you are seeking treatment from​, and so much more.

Be sure to ask your current NP about treatment for Lyme disease since you tested positive and are experiencing symptoms - maybe she wanted to wait for this next visit before discussing treatment options with you?

If you find out that your NP isn't Lyme literate though, don't wait, find a doctor that has been educated by ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) so that they can treat you effectively. I do have the name of an NP in Portland, and one in Tigard. If you will send me an email, I'll be happy to share that information with you.

"only testing positive for Lyme because my EBV count is off the charts. Does this happen?" No. They aren't Lyme literate, so you can't trust their knowledge on Lyme and the co-infections. Although there is some discussion about one of the bands on the WB being able to cross react with EBV- it doesn't mean that Lyme is EBV - many have both with their EBV numbers off the charts. I have.
Try taking L-Lysine for the EBV. I've had my EBV go out of control and got it back into remission by using L-lysine. You'll have to do a little research on it's use to find the dosage, but I built up to taking 3,000 mgs a day for three months, then tapered back off and have been doing well since. L-lysine works well for many of the Herpes viruses.
As for you possibly having Lyme disease - have you been to our "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread yet? If not, please do read through that. There are symptom lists that you can use to compare your symptoms. If you "see yourself" in any one of these infections, then you need to have treatment. It won't go away on it's own - it's an infection.
