All members PLEASE read!!!!

Hi All,
Wow!! Has this forum ever gotten busy!!! While I am quite happy that more and more people are finding this forum (and disheartened because it means more and more are being infected/finding out that they have chronic Lyme), there are some posts that aren't getting any responses at all! We only have so many Mod's here to help welcome people and to point them in the right direction

That is not what this forum is supposed to be about - it's supposed to be about supporting each other and doing what we can to help the others find the information they need. Even if you don't know the answer to their questions, you can respond - especially if they are new. We all need to be welcoming new members (again, especially if no one else has) and to direct them to some basic information in the "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread.

If they are members that have specific questions that you don't know the answer to, but you can see that they aren't getting a response from anyone, read the post, maybe you can relate to what they are going through and can offer sympathy or have a suggestion. If nothing else, remember that by posting even a "Hey, I can relate" type of post, you will be bumping the post back up to the top of the forum for more eyes to see.

The main point is, we all know how it feels to be ignored - and no one deserves that kind of treatment here!! We all need support and help, so let's keep this forum what it's been to you!! Let's help out in as many ways as we can!!

I found a couple. Browsing the forum is ALL I feel like doing! Sitting here doing nothing is boring, and there's never anything on TV. I'm not used to sitting around all day!

Thank you all!! This is a community! We need everyone to help out! I'm so glad I posted this too - we are Moderators, not experts on these infections & conditions, we need lots of help getting everyone's posts answered so they don't feel ignored. So even if you don't know the answer, we can usually at least sympathize with many posters!

Again, thank you for those that are helping out!!

And, if you are like Margaret (Teragram), and aren't up to posting from time to time (or yet) don't worry about it - you get a free pass!! Seriously, if you aren't up to helping, that's not a problem, but for those that are, it would be greatly appreciated!!

It's our pleasure to help everyone that comes here, Windypetunia! I'm sure I speak for all the Mods (& likely most of the members) - you are so very welcome and we are so very glad we could be part of your support!!!

It takes all of us to make this the community that we have all come to love and lean on, this is just a reminder that we need all of us to participate as much as we can day to day to keep it going!

Also, this brings me to where I need to say something else - we need to provide financial support to keep this forum floating. I'm not asking anyone to give money that they need for medical expenses or for living expenses though!!

All we need to do is to click on the ads that show up on the side of the posts!! That brings in a few pennies each time and will help generate some money to help with the cost of this forum. Admin has paid out of his own pocket a few times over the years to keep this place going, and if we want this forum to stick around and not get sold, this is one small thing we can do!!

You don't even have to look at the ad - just give the page time to load, then move on!

Akkami - if you aren't feeling up to it right now, then please don't!! We all have to put our own health first on here!! This is something that Mods struggle with often - and some (like me ) struggle with this lots! But our health must come first before the forum.

Anyone that isn't up to posting to help others doesn't need to. Just help out when you are up to it!! Even one extra post can help someone feel not ignored and/or help out the Mods!
