Thanks for responding, opugirl:
Hopefully I am responding in the correct place. If not, please forgive. It takes me a little longer to catch on to new protocols, but I'll figure them out quickly and will hopefully be a useful voice in this community.
I am looking for all items you've mentioned. This will be a pretty beefy book. I have a section that is my experience with Lyme -- less complicated than most because I had no insurance and refused to create debt -- (that was a symptom, among others, that my reasoning abilities were impaired). But it's more complex in other ways because of additional medical issues that made troubleshooting, based on symptoms, more difficult.
I am also going to address the controversy -- the main players and history, up to the time it's published. I'll list the various tests and pertinent information about
them. There will be a chapter about
common misdiagnoses (MS, arthritis and fibromyalgia, etc. for me). There is a section on nutrition and diet (I am also working on a cookbook) and exercise/physical therapy, etc.. There will also be a "who's who" section -- enlightened doctors and key people in the Lyme community, as well as contact info and recommendations.
But to start, I would like to know who the writers, healthcare professionals, and luminaries are that the Lyme community trusts and why, as well as who and what to avoid.
I am feeling much better than a few years ago. (Thanks.) I haven't had many of the usual tests, treatments, and therapies because I lacked insurance and I was unable to work, etc.. I was diagnosed several years ago, after a long period of untreated infection, when I became largely debilitated, but a former doctor strongly believed that I also had an earlier Lyme infection in 2000. Once diagnosed, I had about
a half year of oral antibiotics and a strict diet (no wheat products or sugar, etc.). After that, I had to take a holistic approach, for lack of options, but I think it has been a good thing in the long run. I feel I am doing much better than many people who have had numerous treatments. I still struggle and I could not take on a regular 9-5. But I have learned how to be effective during and between brief bouts of downtime. My attitude is predominantly optimistic, with an undercurrent of acceptance for what may never again be.

What kind of information are you looking for? Other testimonies, protocols, diets? There are OH so many lyme books.
How are you feeling?
