It is so depressing to even think that we have to live with these bacteria for the rest of our lives. Does anybody know somebody that got their bart and lyme cured? Along with other tick borne disease.....have you? Please share some good news. Thank you.

I went through some old post, 5-6 years ago and a lot of the members are no longer on this forum. I hope they just got over their lyme and went on with their lives. Or maybe they just stop writing, too busy, perhaps. Or.....i'll just stop here.

Many get better. Not sure about cured but many are "healed". Just remember: "Just keep swimming..." Haha! We watch Nemo sometimes - when mommy is having a bad day... :)

There are several on this forum who have been cured. Or maybe the better word, as mentioned above, is "healed indefinitely."

Definitely!!! And you are right. The majority of people that were on here when I was at my worst...are no longer on here. They are out living their lives! I am too. I am not on as much as I used to be because of that.
It just takes a combination of the right doctors, which sometimes means switching drs - and time for many of us!

I have read books, blogs, websites, and forum posts and watched youtube videos of plenty of people who are totally fine now. Even people who had Lyme for like 8 years or 30 years. And my ND says most of her Lyme patients get healed and she has treated like hundreds of Lyme patients. There is hope! :) It just may take a few years...

Unfortunately, I think alot of the online stories are a handful of truly the worst lyme horror stories. My doctors practice is almost all lyme patients, and according to him, they do get better. They would have to. You never hear all of the good recovery stories. I also think that alot if people that post here or have posted in the past quite possibly have a significant number of health issues, in addition to lyme which may or may not be related to lyme. So even if they heal or pass on... or are never heard from again...it's just so very hard to compare. Stay positive.

I met someone in my city (not in person...but talk on the phone and exchange emails) - who is 100% better.

Her story: Had a bulls-eye rash July, 2013. Nothing done about it. In March, 2014, symptoms started. Doctor to Doctor, finally diagnosed in November and started Doxy. Saw no improvement until 7 weeks of doxy. Stayed on doxy until beginning of May. The Dr. was going to switch her to zithromax at that point because she started to have issues with the sun...but she was doing so well, they just switched to herbals. I spoke to her a month ago (end of July) and she was doing well.
I think something was added to the doxy for cysts...can't remember. It seems as though she didn't have any coinfections.
Her main symptoms were anxiety, chills...but no pain.

Apparently when children get the disease, very close to 100% of them will recover completely. As in none of them relapse or have any issues. Treatment for children is also more straightforward. Simply take your antibiotics and your probiotics.

With adults it is more of a mixed bag. Reason being is we have accumulated toxins in our lifetime, may have scar tissue, and may have other health issues as well. So yes some people are cured, some are not.

Good news is... Pretty much everyone will get to 90-95% WITH treatment. Meaning yes you still have to take your medication but you are doing a lot better. Actually I am probably about there right now. I feel close to the way I felt before Lyme but I still have to treat it. Getting to completely to 100% is tough for sure and yes some people have done it but it takes a certain kind of person to get there, a huge amount of dedication and commitment. And if you are at 90-95%, and don't push yourself completely to 100% past the finish line then you will backslide and possibly have a relapse.
Also the last 10% of wellness is harder to achieve than the first 90%. Remember there are so many issues to a full recovery... Bartonella, babesia, heavy metals, detox issues, biofilms, immune dysregulation, yeast infections, dental issues. So if someone has all of these issues? It is going to be much harder to get to 100%. If someone had ONLY Lyme to begin with, they will likely recover much easier.

But on a positive note yes... Everyone will get to 90% if they get a proper treatment.

Although I managed to get reinfected with Lyme recently, I healed from Lyme, Bartonella, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Babesia, Anaplamosis, Ehrlichiosis and others after having them for 40 years untreated.
