fever for 3 days

I've just finished a 3 week course of Doxycycline after discovering I have Lyme. Most of my symptoms were that of stage 2. I've felt good for a week after the end of my medicine. However, now I've had a fever for 3 days, 99-100.2) and I'm so tired. Could the Lyme still be causing fever? Is it back, or never left? Do people relapse so quickly? Thanks for any answers. Feeling feverish and sluggish is why I went to the docs in the first place. Ugh.

I'm not sure when I was infected, never saw a rash, however my symptoms started simple enough to match stage one about a month and a half ago. Fever, aches, fatigue, shooting leg pains. Then bells palsy began, meningitis headaches (horrific), numbness on one side of my body, shooting pains in legs but worse, and loss of some of my vocabulary, and memory loss. There's no way I could get all of this if I was just infected. I thought I must have cancer or something horrible. I took 3 weeks of Doxy and felt so much better except for my memory I still struggle with. (and a little joint pain) then 3 days ago I became feverish and I've had a fever since. And so so tired/fatigued.

Welcome to the forum! Please be advised that is not enough time to kill lyme. Most mainstream doctors have been misinformed. However it is a BIG deal that you felt better on doxy that fast. I would recommend checking out our "New to Lyme, Start Here" thread. There is a lot of information on there, including how to find an LLMD.

Doxy and antibiotics are not the only way to heal from lyme so keep your mind open to herbs and other alternative treatments. Whatever you do, trust your judgement. I caught lyme 'early' but was given a short course of doxy and became very, very ill years later. I just don't want that for you.

Thanks to all the good info on the web and here, I found some great advice and drs and am no longer treating for lyme. You are wise to look for more info. Let us know if we can be of any more assistance! Your fever is low so I would not be too concerned yet, it is pretty common with lyme and a sign that your body is fighting infection. I would still advise your dr on that though.
