@ moon61 - Buhner's complete bartonella protocol is listed on his website, listed under coinfections protocols:
http://buhnerhealinglyme.com/
BARTONELLA
Research is ongoing, this is the most up to date protocol:
• Sida acuta tincture (from Woodland Essence or
[email protected]) ¼ tsp 3x day for 30 days
• Hawthorn tincture, same
• Japanese knotweed, (tincture, same dose (from same sources as Sida acuta, above), or capsules from Green Dragon Botanicals 2 capsules 3x daily)
• EGCG 400mg +- daily
• Houttuynia (Yu Xing Cao – 1st Chinese Herbs, powder – use “LYME” code at checkout for 10% off) 1 tbl daily
• L-arginine 5000 mg daily in divided doses
• Milk Thistle seed, standardized, 1200 mg daily
All for 30 days.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have active herpes, chicken pox, or shingles DO NOT USE L-arginine.
We are not using l-arginine, because I can't guarantee viruses are not a problem for us.
We were asymptomatic after treating at low (1/4 dosages) for a year, and are now focussing on the babesia protocol, while leaving the bartonella intact.
If you are planning on treating with Buhner's protocols you really should educate yourself on the infections you are treating, why Buhner recommends the herbs he does, how and why the herbs work, and how to prepare and dose the herbs.
His books:
Herbal Antivirals: Natural Remedies for Emerging & Resistant Viral Infections
Healing Lyme Disease Coinfections: Complementary and Holistic Treatments for Bartonella and Mycoplasma
Herbal Antibiotics, 2nd Edition: Natural Alternatives for Treating Drug-resistant Bacteria
cover information on all of the herbs he recommends for mycoplasma, bartonella and babesia. His new coinfections book on ehrlichia, anaplasma and babesia should be out next spring.
You need to be committed to your own healing, and that involves understanding as well - Not just taking someone's word from a forum comment.
The herbs are powerful and probiotics need to be taken while you are using them (space probiotic dosages at least 2 hours between antimicrobial doses). Detoxing is a must as well if you don't want to herx too badly.
