Wow, what great and useful responses!
The only remedy I have for nausea is Phenergan (?) suppositories. Sometimes I have to double the dose, if the nausea is really bad. Another doctor just gave me Zofran, which you're supposed to put under your tongue.
I need to try the ginger again. My ND (she's a digestive specialist) said to get ginger chews, and to really push the ginger.
I like the idea of nibbling something, but nibbling what? There are so many things I can't eat!
I agree also, that on bad days, I can just eat a lot smoothies throughout the day.
Bone broths are a good idea too, and maybe a soy-free Miso, if there is such a thing. I am so confused about ammonia, and acid vs alkaline, and this, that, and the other. Apparently bone broth is high in ammonia? I might just say, "to heck with it," and eat it again anyway, especially on bad days.
I guess I could try some gluten-free crackers and eat them with peanut butter, although peanut butter gives me some problems.
Thanks for all the sweet responses!
Margaret
