Why don't I have pain?

I have had everything else ruled out. Lyme is the only thing left, and my IGenex test did come back Ind with a few positive bands. What I don't understand is why I don't experience any pain? I have no headaches, joint or muscle pain. Almost everyone on here does experience some sort of pain.

I JUST have fatigue, weakness, anxiety, brain fog.

I guess I will just assume Lyme and stick with the prescribed treatment. I just think its odd that I have NO pain.

No everyone has a lot of pain with these infections - or they won't develop it until later. Many people were told that they didn't have Lyme unless their knees were swollen back quite a few years ago - now we know that that's not the case.

It's also what adds to the confusion with Lyme - different people can have different symptoms with the same infection.

consider yourself VERY lucky that you don't have pain!!

Almost everyone on here has brain fog issues - I never had a touch of that, and I am grateful! LD affects everyone differently, that is why it is so difficult to diagnose and to treat!

I always thought I was weird because I only have pain in one of my joints and it's not my knee. MRI, X-rays have ruled out anything wrong with the joint, muscle, no tumor etc. It's strange how we can all have the same disease but our symptoms can be on opposite sides of the spectrum.

I wasn't feeling too bad at all when I was diagnosed and my doc said he had Lyme patients doing better than me when they were diagnosed, so it varies a lot. I feel worse now after 4 tough years, but still not a lot of pain. I think once my adrenals and thyroid are doing better, I'll feel better.

So enjoy your freedom from pain. :)

I always question myself because I don't have fatigue or brain fog. I think it's so individual based on what strain of Borrelia we have, what our own body's weaknesses are, etc.

I didn't have pain at first either. I guess it started about a year and a half after my major symptoms began. Luckily I still don't have pain all the time time though. It flares up from time to time in my feet, some joints, muscles or bones.

Enjoy being pain free! I hope you never get it.
