I'm on gabapentin (neurontin) for nerve pain. I still have generous amounts of pain. Side note: I tried lamictal and reacted to it.

What sorts of pain is gabapentin supposed to manage?

What are the options for any pain not managed by gabapentin? I'm currently having elbow throbbing, headaches, and chest pains that don't seem touched by the gabapentin.

My MD prescribed gabapentin for my restless leg syndrome & periodic limb movement, it works very well for me. It really hasn't done anything for my pain though.

I take OxyContin. I hate taking it, but it works! It has made my pain bearable. Without it I would be miserable!

I take ultram for my pain, seems to work well, I was taking 3 at a time and now I'm down to one or sometimes 2, that's how much my pain level has gone down since treatment.

Oh, this is good to hear! I have a bottle of this from my doc. I haven't taken any yet b/c I didn't think it'd work at all. I guess I'll give it a try. Does it make you sleepy?

I took a vicodin last night. Surprisingly, it didn't take away all the pain. But I slept like a rock and had some weird flying dreams before settling in. I know for me, vicodin is only possible at night.
