Has anyone here who had the Igenex testing done, come back negative for Lymes?

Just curioius. I'm getting it done in a few weeks... so want to know if there have been any cases where Lyme's came back negative from this test. I guess I'm just a little worried for myself here, especially if for some reason I don't really have Lyme's and someone get it AFTER the Igenex, like if a doctor purposely sticks me with a needle without me knowing, to infect me with Lyme's so I can become their patient. I know it's silly thinking but one never knows.... (if that's even possible)

I was CDC negative and IGenex IND.

Our daughter was CDC negative and Igenex negative, but she did have several IND lyme-specific bands - they will only show on the WB if lyme is present, there is no cross-reactivity with other infections.

However she was Igenex positive for bartonella hensalae which we treated with abx and now continue treatment with herbs.

The August 2014 version of the IGENEX Western Blot for IGM says on it that bands 31, 41, & 83-93 may cross react with antibodies from viruses. I left a message with Dr. Harris at IGENEX trying to get more information out of him. Rowingmom, I know a couple of these are lyme specific bands. Do you know why they put that info. on their sheet? The IGG sheet doesn't mention 83-93, but only the other two.

I have seen numerous people say that they don't cross react but this sheet scares me. A well know Infectious disease Dr. I'm considering taking his med, says my HHV6 reactivation with mono symptoms caused my bands to react. I'm really trying to read up on this as my Western blot from Quest shows every band negative which was drawn the same week as IGENEX. I was also negative on another Quest ELISA, Labcorp ELISA, ARUP spinal, and a Unknown test and the University of Michigan. This was over a period of three months and there may be many reasons for it, but what would be nice to know who tested negative like me for ALL other labs and then positive for IGENEX, to then later test positive for those other labs. Testimony like that would make me feel better.

I took about 5 lyme test at 5 different hospitals and they were all negative. Negative spinal. I had igm band 31+ on IGENEX. I would doubt lyme sometimes too, but I got sick suddenly and severely with extreme symptoms all over the place. I've never found a tick on me but I've pulled ticks off my family and my yard is full of deer. I also had an extreme mold problem so I think my body broke down from all the toxicity. It's hard to sort this all out.

My igenex was negative but I had weak response to 4-5 lyme specific bands.

When I first contracted Lymes, I went to my regular MD! He tested me for Lymes, and it came back negative! I had one band positive- 41! He said I had severe depression or fibromyalgia! He was so wrong! The tests for Lyme are only 30% to 40% accurate! There is one test that is 100% accurate! It is a blood smear test! They prick your finger and take one drop of blood and smear it across a small piece of glass and place another piece of glass on top and look at it under a microscope! The Lyme infected blood will show up there! I saw mine plus I was severely sick! My brother in law had 6 tests run before he got a positive! Chronic Lymes is very serious! It affects every organ in ur body! This is my first time to post! I have some very encouraging words to share with all my Lymie friends! I will post later!

Yes I tested negative and I was tested 3 times by different labs including igenex. I know for a fact I have lyme because I had ticks on me several times and I had the classic bulls eye rash. I went to the Dr. who said he thought it was a spider bite. If he had treated me then I wouldn't be like I am now.

Years later after MANY Dr's I found out about Lyme. My 1st symptom was feeling like I had balls or rocks in the soles of my feet, it was painful, then I got the bad headaches and so on and so forth. The LLMD I saw back in 2007 said I also had Bart from my symptoms and he told me that testing is never 100% accurate. He also explained how there are many different strains of these diseases which doesn't help. This is why according to him that 'no one treatment works for everyone' and I guess it make testing less accurate.
