My LLMD recommended it and I'm ordering it tonight from Amazon. She said begin taking a very small dose and work up to a full scoop. She doesn't want me to take a flu shot since my immune system is weak but I teach so I needed something to help out.

Hi Daisy's Mom,

My LLMD recommended it as well, but now I'm getting a mean old herx.

I ordered it from Amazon as well.

She told me the same about flu shots.

I would really like to know what happens when you start taking it.

I'm only taking one granule.

You're not in NC by any chance are you? I know it's unlikely, but I was wondering if you were seeing the same LLMD, Dr. F.?

Hi Teragram,

I just joined this forum after following it for a long time. My LLMD who I have just recently started with also recommended that I not get the flu shot. We might see the same doctor in Durham. I have been seen by another LLMD in Pennsylvania and three Naturopathic doctors. I am hoping Dr. F can help me.

Welcome. Do you live in the Triangle area, or elsewhere in NC? I live near Boone, so it's kind of a trek for me. There's only one LLMD named Dr. F. in the Triangle area, as far as I know.

I thought the address was Chapel Hill, but I might be wrong.

Hey,

So sorry got bogged down with the end of the semester in grad school and am just checking in now. Yes, I see Dr. F in Chapel Hill. I live within 45 minutes of her office which is really nice!

I just started taking it today and only took one flake. I couldn't risk herxing during finals.

How has it been working for you Margaret?

That's funny how we all found each other on this forum.

I went to grad. school in Chapel Hill, and in retrospect, it seems really odd, bc not only was I going to grad. school, I was taking dance lessons, cultivating a full garden, keeping my house clean, etc. AND getting up early in the a.m.!!

I'm an ABD though; I didn't finish my dissertation. Things were starting to get wacky. I started sleeping until 2:00 p.m., etc.

I have been so sick, I don't know if the Lauricidin is helping or not, except that I got sicker when I started it, so I guess that means I'm herxing.

I'm still only taking one pellet, and only twice a week. I'm going to move it up to three times a week next week though, bc I have a cold again (I average three colds a month)!

I had already started grad school when I was re-diagnosed. I had Lyme when was 15 and thought I was cured. Surprise! At the age of 43, I don't want to stop going to school. I'm afraid I wouldn't start again. It's a tough gig with working and having a small hobby farm to boot but so far my doc is pleased with my rate of healing.

So sorry to hear about your herx! I took one pellet yesterday and had some old symptoms return. My arms feel like I've had tetanus shoots in both of them and my thighs hurt as well. The underside (is that even a word?) of my arms is super sensitive.

Have you tried elderberry syrup for your colds and viruses? We keep it on hand at all times here. It reduces symptoms and shortens the lifespan of the virus. It may be worth a try!

Yes I have, and it doesn't really help. Plus, it's too high in sugar, and right now, I'm trying to stop diarrhea yet again. Sugar makes it worse.

Yes Mike, I think I posted about Lauricidin bf anyone posted about Monolaurin. I don't think folks knew the brand name. This is an old post.
